Typically, burglar-proofing involves the installation of a physical barrier across a door or window. It can be fabricated from steel, aluminium, and various other materials.
3 Tips on how to burglar proof your home
1. Secure every door that leads outside
The front entrance, back door, and garage are the most popular access points for burglars. Install high-quality security gates within the front and rear exit doors, and always keep these gates locked.
2. Secure all of your windows
Make sure all of your windows are protected, regardless of their size or height. Window burglar proofing measures should be implemented on the inside of the house rather than the outside.
3. Install various layers of security
One should develop 'layers' of security in and around the house, beginning with the property's perimeter and working inwards. You could install perimeter fencing, burglar bars on all windows or steel doors in front of every door that leads outside.
